Crowning Ceremony

The Crowning Ceremony is held in Tranent Loch Centre on the first Sunday in June.

This year will be our 81st Gala and will be held on Sunday 5th June 2022.

More information will be announced as we approach the day.

Walk to The War Memorial

Following the Crowning Ceremony the Gala Committee will walk down to the War Memorial with the Gala Court. The Queen will lay her bouquet and they will all walk back to the Loch Centre.

For Safety: Please do not cross through the procession, we do not want anyone to get hurt.

Gala Field

The Ross High Rugby Field hosts our Gala Day and boast an array of entertainment for all the family.

We have rides, dancers, musicians, balloon art, food and much much more.

As Tranent Gala is all about bringing the family together there is a selection of free activities. A full list of everything available will be provided as we approach the date.

If you want to help out on the day, we are always looking for Gala Helpers to Stewart the field and support the Field Committee. Email [email protected] to put yourself forward.
